The schedule for the quarterly examinations for Classes 9 and 11 for the academic year 2023–2024 has been officially announced by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The BSEB Class 11 quarterly exams will take place from November 25 to December 2. The two shifts for the theory tests are 1:30 pm to 3 pm for the first session and 3:30 pm to 5 pm for the second. Exams for Class 9 will, however, take place on November 28, 29, and 30. The first shift runs from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, and the second from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The board has posted the date sheet for class 11 on X (formerly Twitter).

In accordance with the Bihar Board’s Class 9 quarterly exam schedule, the first mother language paper (101 Hindi, 102 Bangla, 103 Urdu, and 104 Maithili) would be administered during the first shift on the first day of the exam. The Second Indian Language paper (codes 105 to 109) will be offered during the second shift. On November 29, the Science exam (Music for VH applicants) will be held in the first shift, and the Social Science paper will be conducted in the second shift. The English (general) and mathematics (home science for VH) exams are scheduled for November 30.

The schedule of the first shift of Class 11 quarterly exams’ includes papers in physics, philosophy, and entrepreneurship. The second shift includes exams in chemistry, accountancy, and political science.

The Bihar Board of Education has emphasised the significance of frequent and thorough assessments of its students. According to an official notice, all students are required to participate in the November 2023 quarterly assessment. The heads of recognised schools and colleges have been advised by BSEB to ensure that their schools administer the Class 11 examinations in accordance with the prescribed timetable. Additionally, they must come up with the exam results and submit them by December 6, adhering to the format that has been supplied.

Meanwhile, the BSEB has officially announced the date sheet for the forthcoming Class 10 Sent-Up exams. The practical test is set for November 22, while the theory examinations will be held from November 23 to November 27. Students who take compartmental examinations, single-subject English tests, or improvement exams are not obliged to take the Sent-Up/Screening exam.
