The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the online application process for the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED 2024) and Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2024 tomorrow, November 6. Candidates who fail to register by Nov 6 can also apply by Nov 13 but with late fees.
Candidates shortlisted in CEED can get admission into Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes in design and those selected for UCEED can get admission to the bachelor’s courses in design. Interested and eligible candidate who wants to apply for CEED 2024 can do so by visiting the official website at ceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who are willing to apply for UCEED 2024 can do so on uceed.iitb.ac.in.
CEED, UCEED 2024: Eligibility criteria
CEED 2024: To be considered eligible for CEED 2024, candidates must have completed a three-year degree, diploma, or minimum three-year post-graduate programme after class 12th. Only those candidates will be eligible who are appearing in the final examination of these courses by July 2024 or should have passed the GD Arts Diploma Program (10+5 level) by July 2024.
UCEED 2024: The candidate must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent) in 2023 or must be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2024. Students from all streams including science, commerce, arts, and humanities are eligible to apply for the UG design entrance exam.
CEED, UCEED 2024: How to apply
Step 1- Visit the official websites of UCEED or CEED
Step 2 – On the homepage, click on the registration link
Step 3 – Fill the form with the required credentials. Upload the documents.
Step 4 – Pay the application fee.
Step 5 – Download the completed application form for further use
The exams are scheduled to be held on January 21, Sunday, from 9 am to 12 pm. The admit cards will be available for downloading January 5, 1 pm onwards. IIT Bombay will release the provisional answer keys on January 23. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections to the answer key till January 25, 5 pm. Based on the objections raised, the final answer keys will be released on January 31. The CEED 2024 results will be announced on March 6, while the UCEED 2024 results will be declared on March 8.
Earlier, the last date to apply was set for October 31 but was later postponed to Nov 6. “The last date for online registration with regular fee has been extended till Monday, 6th November 2023. The last date for online registration with a late fee is Monday, 13th November 2023,” the official notice stated.
