The Haryana Public Service Commission, or HPSC, is the chief constitutional body of the Government of Haryana. It is the nodal agency for conducting the Haryana State Civil Services Examinations along with other competitive examinations through which the finest of the candidates are selected for the various civil services and departmental positions in Haryana. Every year, many students from the state appear for the examination. The online application process for the State Civil Services Examination 2023 of the Haryana Public Service Commission has started.
As per the notification issued by the Commission on November 17, the application process will continue until December 21. Interested candidates can visit the official website, www.hpsc.gov.in. Reportedly, the candidates will have to register first. The application fee for the Haryana State Civil Services Examination is Rs 1,000.
The recruitment will be done for a total of 121 vacant posts. This includes posts like DSP, Naib Tehsildar, Excise and Taxation Officer, Traffic Manager, Block Development, and Panchayat Officer.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the Haryana State Civil Services Examination, candidates must be graduates of any recognised university. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 42 years as of January 1, 2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to those candidates who are natives of Haryana state and fall in the reserved category.
Examination Pattern
The selection of the candidate in the Haryana State Civil Service will be done in three stages: preliminary level, mains level and interview level. The preliminary examination has two papers: General Studies and CSAT. Each of them is worth 100 marks and the total marks for the examination are 200. On the other hand, the mains exam is worth 600 marks. It has a total of four papers. The English and Hindi examinations are 100 marks each, while the General Studies and Optional subjects are 200 marks each. The third round is the interview round, which has 75 marks.
