The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has begun accepting applications for the National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2023. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for JAC NMMS 2023 via the official website, jac-nmms.com. The Jharkhand NMMS registration period will conclude on November 17 and the exam is planned a month later on December 17. Selected students in classes 9 through 12 may get financial aid of Rs 12,000 through the scholarship programme. Private school pupils, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya students are not permitted to apply for this scholarship.
Jharkhand NMMS 2023: Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to apply for the JAC NMMS scholarship 2023, students must have received at least 55 per cent in their Class 7. In addition, the student’s parent’s yearly income must amount to less than or equivalent to Rs. 3.5 lakh. For a scholarship in class nine, students must get a minimum grade of 55 per cent in the class 8 examination (reserved categories receive a 5 per cent relaxation).To qualify for a scholarship in Class 10, students must pass Class 9. For a scholarship in Class 11, the student must earn 60 per cent in Class 10 (with a 5 per cent relaxation for reserved categories). The student must also pass Class 11 to be eligible for the scholarship in Class 12.
Jharkhand NMMS 2023: How to apply
Students can register for the Jharkhand NMMS scheme 2023 by following the simple steps provided below.
Step 1: Go to nmms.com, the JAC NMMS website.
Step 2: Select the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 registration link on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the Jharkhand NMMS registration form and click the Submit button.
Step 4: Once completed, sign in to your account.
Step 5: Complete the application and submit the necessary paperwork, photographs, and signatures.
Step 6: Download the Jharkhand NMMS application and print it off for future records.
For the duration of the scholarship period (classes 9–12), students who have been chosen for the scholarship are urged to stay in touch with their school and the district education officer. Beneficiaries must submit an annual application through the National Scholarship Portal in order to be considered for the scholarship. If they don’t apply, they won’t be able to take advantage of this scheme and won’t receive a scholarship. According to the official notification, the council will not be in responsible for students not renewing their scholarships.
