UGC NET December 2023 Registration Process Begins, How to Apply – News18

UGC-NET December 2023: Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on the official websites at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, and nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency(NTA) has begun the registration process for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 session. The application process which commenced on September 30 will conclude on October 28, at 5 pm. The last date for submission of the examination fee is October 29, up to 11:50 pm. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on the official websites at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, and nta.ac.in.

The application correction will remain open on October 30 and 31. The city of the exam centre will be announced in the last week of November. Admit cards can be downloaded from the first week of December. The exams will be conducted by NTA from December 6 to 22. The result and answer key dates will be announced later.

“Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Candidates will not be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form,” read the official notice.

UGC NET December 2023: How to Apply

Step 1 – Go to the official website of NTA UGC NET

Step 2 – Click on the UGC NET December 2023 session registration link on the website

Step 3 – Fill in the form with required details

Step 4 – Pay the application fees

Step 5 –  Submit. Save and download the acknowledgment form for further use.

UGC NET December 2023: Application Fee

The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1150. For general EWS and OBC-NCL, the fee is Rs 600. For SC, ST, and PwD, it is Rs 325.

“Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only,” reads the official notice.

NTA conducts UGC-NET in order to determine the eligibility of national residents for the position of Assistant Professor as well as Junior Research Fellowship for Universities and colleges across India. The exam is conducted twice every year in the months of June and December.
