  5. External Stressors: External stressors, such as work pressures, financial issues, or family problems, can impact communication in couples. When individuals are stressed or overwhelmed, they may have less energy, time, or patience to engage in effective communication with their partner. It can distract and hinder meaningful communication between partners.
