Fans praise Fahad for making differently-abled attendee’s day | The Express Tribune

Fahad Mustafa is a true hero for the masses! The actor and host has once again, won hearts with his kind and empathetic interactions with the audience on Jeeto Pakistan, a Ramadan game show he hosts every year.

This year, a clip of Mustafa’s “heart-warming” interaction with a differently-abled girl named Amna went viral. The video shows the actor asking the audience to applaud her before helping her win a plot worth Rs 900,000. His gesture made the day for the girl and her parents and for fans, he became a “true superstar”.

His colleagues Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar also retweeted the viral clip and sent love to the actor.

Fans dug up more clips from this year’s show to prove the latest instance wasn’t an isolated incident and highlight how Mustafa keeps extending his kindness and respect to everyone – regardless of their abilities, gender, religion or ethnicity. 

“In an industry that has Shehroz Sabzwari, Feroze Khan and Faisal Qureshi, be like Fahad Mustafa,” a user wrote on the micro-blogging site. Another called the clip a “sight for sore eyes,” and wrote, “At a time when it felt like Pakistani reality/talk shows could only produce regressive, cringy content, this clip from Fahad Mustafa’s show is a sight for sore eyes. This makes me so happy! Thank you, Fahad, for being such a grounded and fantastic host to this wonderful child!”

Another user shared that while they may not always agree with Mustafa’s professional and personal choices, they’re in awe of his behaviour with people. “I don’t care what Fahad Mustafa does in his professional or personal life, but the guy is so kind and respectful towards the elderly, children, and differently-abled, it absolutely warms my heart. It may seem the bare minimum, but it’s a big thing and deserves respect and appreciation,” they wrote.

This user’s respect for the Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad star multiplied after the video. “My respect for Fahad has multiplied after Jeeto Pakistan. Even yesterday there was an old man who couldn’t hear or speak and the way Fahad interacted with him was so heart-warming,” read the tweet.

A fan highlighted how Mustafa’s behaviour is “basic human decency” and not something that should “requires applause,” it’s good to see him set examples for others. “In a world devoid of respect – a world that’s only ever cruel and impatient – it’s heart-warming to see Fahad Mustafa set an example. We need more representation like this. Absolutely loved this.”

Another prayed for his continued success. “This is amazing!! The best part was how patient and kind Fahad Mustafa was with her throughout. Amidst all the negativity with certain actors stooping to their lowest, Fahad Mustafa shows why he’s a true superstar! Prayers for even more success for him. He truly deserves it!”

Mustafa’s Jeeto Pakistan wins for this user amongst the plethora of game shows and Ramadan transmissions on air this month. “These sorts of lovely men are the best of Pakistan. This is a Ramzan transmission I can get behind. Kudos to Fahad Mustafa for making people feel included.”
