Fans think Shahid Afridi crashed Ansha’s romantic plan | The Express Tribune

Happy 23rd birthday to the two-time PSL winner Shaheen Shah Afridi! The ace cricketer had a fun celebration back at home surrounded by his loved ones and that was evident from a picture former cricketer and father-in-law Shahid Afridi posted to wish son-in-law. However, from the looks of the decorations, some users think Shahid crashed his daughter Ansha Afridi’s private surprise for her husband.

A little after midnight on April 6, Shahid took to his Twitter to wish Shaheen. “Happy birthday Shaheen. Stay happy,” he wrote while posting two pictures where he can be seen posing with the bowler and feeding him a birthday cake.

The two of them, dressed in solid pairs shalwar kameez, stood at what looked like a rooftop decorated with lights and balloons that read, “Happy birthday babe.”

The “babe” really grabbed the eyeballs of many social media users. “Ansha throwing her man a birthday party and making sure everyone knows he’s her man is queen behaviour!” read a tweet.

“Also this was 100% supposed to be a romantic party for just the two of them and not with her dad crashing in and posting pictures. Sis, I get you,” the user added.

“Oh my God, did he just third wheel himself into a celebration that was clearly meant to be private,” wondered another user.

Private or a family celebration, fans are still over the moon about the union of Shaheen and Shahid’s family. “Being a die-hard Lala fan and an avid Shaheen supporter, this multiverse still feels as surreal as it did when we first heard about it,” wrote a user.

Ansha and Shaheen tied the knot in February this year in an intimate Nikah ceremony in Karachi. An e-invite for the ceremony also surfaced on the internet that featured the couple in white and yellow-themed clothes and revealed their Nikkah date

Last year, Shahid addressed reports talking about the union between the fast bowler and his daughter, and tweeted, “Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch […] matches are made in heaven, if Allah wills this match will be made too.” He ended his tweet with prayers for Shaheen “for his continued success on and off the field”.
