‘Pathaan’ director to helm Salman, SRK’s next film | The Express Tribune

Bollywood’s biggest and much-awaited crossover is finally in the works. As per Deadline, superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are ready to lock horns in Tiger vs Pathaan, which is going to be directed by the one and only Pathaan director Siddharth Anand!

According to sources, Aditya Chopra, the chairperson of Yash Raj Films, is ready to provide Siddharth with “all his support” and “trust” to produce the greatest action film in India to date.

“Aditya Chopra has immense trust in Siddharth Anand to deliver a grand visual spectacle that has never been seen before with Tiger vs Pathaan,” a trade source told the publication. “Siddharth is getting a dream cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for their first full-fledged film since Karan Arjun and Siddharth will also be given all the support he needs to mount Tiger vs Pathaan as the biggest film that India has ever produced.”

Siddharth’s most recent acclaim, Pathaan, which is now the all-time highest-grossing Hindi film, was lauded for its iconic scenes featuring the two Khans.

Speaking about the two actors, Siddharth told ETimes, “They just had so much love for each other, there was just so much positivity. They wanted to give each other space rather than hog a scene or a sequence. They were selfless and that just shows onscreen.”

Shah Rukh portrayed an Indian spy in the action film Pathaan (2023), while Salman played also played an agent in two YRF spy films—Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).

Even though a third sequel to Tiger is yet to premiere in 2023, the Dabangg star’s cameo in Pathaan has increased the hype to see the two megastars on the big screen again.
