In early November, when Kapil Gupta, who hails from Rajasthan’s Hindaun, started preparing for his wedding, he had little idea that he’d have another reason to celebrate. On November 18, the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) results for 2021 were declared, and Kapil secured 55th rank.
This accomplishment not only fulfilled Kapil’s lifelong dream of becoming an administrative officer but also brought double celebrations to his family.
Coming from a modest family, Kapil Gupta’s father, an iron trader, instilled the values of hard work and dedication in his sons. The Gupta household, now a family of four, witnessed another success story as Kapil’s younger brother had previously cracked the Indian Engineering Examination (IES) conducted by the UPSC in 2022 and is currently posted in Delhi.
Kapil Gupta’s journey to success began when he expressed his aspirations to become an administrative officer. His academic excellence was evident as he consistently topped his class and secured the tenth position at the district level after his Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Despite pursuing a B.Tech from the prestigious Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, Kapil’s passion for joining the Administrative service persisted.

Kapil got engaged to Ayushi Gupta in June, and on December 4, 2023, he tied the knot with her, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
