New Delhi: Social networking platform Instagram on Monday said that it has fixed the issue that caused the outage due to which users were facing trouble accessing the platform.
The company tweeted from its @InstagramComms account: “Instagram is back! Sorry for the trouble – we had a brief outage earlier and resolved the issue that caused it.”

On the online outage monitor website Downdetector, users started reporting the issue earlier on Tuesday morning , which peaked at more than 1.7 lakh.

According to Downdetector, 9 percent while using the website, and 4 percent while logging in.
Meanwhile, as per reports Meta-owned Instagram plans to compete with Elon Musk’s Twitter by launching a similar microblogging text platform by the end of June.
According to Lia Haberman, who reported the information in her ICYMI Substack newsletter, the text-based, Twitter-like platform known as “Instagram’s new text-based app for conversations” is reportedly codenamed P92 or Barcelona.
The app has an Instagram and Twitter-like aesthetic.
If you make your profile and content public or private and accept followers, users on these other apps will be able to find, follow, and connect with you there.
You might be able to create Twitter-like postings on a timeline using Instagram’s new text-based interface.
