Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is set to initiate the choice-filling procedure for the third round of Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission (UPTAC) counselling for the year 2023 for BTech and BArch programmes today, September 26. Candidates participating in the third round of UPTAC counselling can now submit their preferences directly through the official platform located at uptac.admissions.nic.in.
The seat allotment results for the third round of UPTAC 2023 will be declared on September 26. AKTU has announced a total of six rounds of counselling. However, candidates will not be able to exercise choice filling during the fourth and fifth rounds. Admissions to BTech programs will be based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advance 2023 scores, while BArch admissions will depend on the results of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2023).
AKTU UPTAC counselling 2023: Documents Needed
To facilitate a smooth UPTAC counselling process, candidates must have the following documents ready:
– Domicile Certificate
– Character Certificate
– Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate
– Medical Fitness Certificate
– Income High School Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate (for fee exemption applicants)
– Intermediate Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate
– Category Certificate (for reserved category candidates)
– Certificate of Photo Identity Proof
– Recent Passport-Size Photographs
AKTU UPTAC counselling choice-filling process: How to apply
Step 1 – Visit the official AKTU UPTAC website and click on the UPTAC Counseling Choice Filling Link on the homepage.
Step 2 – Login using your application ID and password.
Step 3 – Click on the choice-filling link.
Step 4 – Specify your preferences for college and courses.
Step 5 – Save the order of options.
Step 6 – Finally, click on the submit button.
The deadline for candidates who were allotted seats during the second round of UPTAC 2023 counselling for BTech and BArch was September 24. The candidates were required to complete their online forms, exercise options such as freeze or float, and submit the seat acceptance fee. Unreserved and OBC category students securing their allotted seats had to submit Rs 20,000, while SC and ST category candidates were required to deposit Rs 12,000 as the seat acceptance fee.
AKTU has made provisions for candidates contemplating the withdrawal of their admissions and allocated seats during the second round of UPTAC counselling for BTech and BArch programs. Notably, unreserved students can expect a refund of Rs 15,000, while reserved candidates will receive a refund of Rs 9,000.
