Students’ success stories are nothing short of inspirational. Today, we’ll take a look at one such motivational story. A woman from Rajasthan named Rupa Yadav achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 2017. Rupa’s journey was far from typical. She was married off at the tender age of eight. However, this did not deter her from pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. Now, at 21 years old, Rupa Yadav has secured an all-India rank of 2,612, achieving a score of 603 in the exam. She was able to continue her studies, thanks to the support of her husband and brother-in-law.

In her class 10 exams, she earned an impressive 84 per cent. While juggling household responsibilities and studies, Rupa once again showcased her unwavering determination, achieving an impressive 84 per cent in Class 12 exams. During the same year, she not only enrolled in a BSc course but also took the AIPMT examination, securing an all-India rank of 23,000.

Rupa reflected on her journey in an interview with a portal and said: “Although I didn’t qualify for admission to a prestigious government medical college, my performance in the AIPMT motivated my husband and brother-in-law to support my preparation for the MBBS entrance test in Kota.”

Rupa’s origin story unfolds in a poverty-stricken farmer’s family in Kareri village, situated in Jaipur district. At that time, Rupa was just a third-grade student. She was married off to Shankarlal, who was 12 years old. Rupa’s sister Rukma was married to Shankarlal’s brother Babulal. Both her husband and brother-in-law, who are engaged in farming, provided unwavering support throughout her journey. They went to the extent of driving an auto to cover the expenses of her education, ignoring the disapproving comments of the villagers.

Rupa couldn’t crack NEET in her first attempt. Then, she received a scholarship from her coaching institute, which ultimately helped her overcome the obstacles and successfully clear the exam on her second attempt in 2017.
