The Indian government has issued a fresh notification outlining a recruitment drive targeting 10th-grade candidates seeking employment opportunities. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has adopted the Open Rally System to enlist 620 individuals for the role of GD Constable. The recruitment process will adhere to ITBP Acts and Rules, with selected candidates expected to serve in various locations across India and overseas. Aspiring and eligible candidates can submit their applications for ITBP recruitment starting from October 5 until October 8, 2023. This initiative aims to fill a total of 620 constable positions.
Number of Vacancies
The number of vacancies in the states is as follows: Sikkim: 186 posts; Arunachal: 250 posts; Uttarakhand: 16 posts; Himachal Pradesh: 43 posts; and Ladakh: 125 posts. So, let’s take a look at the eligibility criteria and how to apply for the posts:
Eligibility
ITBP General Duty Constables must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 23 years. In terms of their educational qualifications, the candidate must have a 10th-grade pass or the equivalent of that degree.
How to Apply
Interested and eligible candidates may register at the ITBP Recruitment Centre in their district on any day from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM between October 5 and 8, 2023. They must also provide original documentation, passport-size pictures, and photocopies of the documents indicated in the notification.
Selection Process
The selection process will include registration at the ITBP Recruitment Centre. Once the correct form is duly filled out and submitted by the candidate, he or she will be given a date and time on which he or she has to appear at the respective ITBP recruitment centre for PET/PST and for the showing of documents. Candidates who qualify for the document stage will have to appear for the written examination that will be held later.
Application Fee
The application fee for the General, OBC, and EWS categories is Rs 100/-. Fees should be paid through a demand draft in favour of the address available in the detailed notification for the state. No fee will be charged for women, SC/ST, and ex-servicemen candidates.
