Candidates who pass the KSET – 2023 exam will need to follow the rules and regulations set for becoming Assistant Professors in different universities, colleges, and institutions in Karnataka. These could be government, aided, or private institutions.
Previously, the University of Mysore (UoM) used to organize the KSET exam for many years. However, due to significant complaints about corruption during the KSET 2021 exam, the state government has given the responsibility of conducting the exam to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). UoM had permission to conduct the Karnataka SET until 2028, but now KEA has taken over this responsibility.
The KSET exam was split into two parts, with Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 had 100 marks and included 50 compulsory questions. This part of the exam lasted for one hour, from 10 am to 11 am. On the other hand, Paper 2 was a two-hour session, taking place from 12 pm to 2 pm, and it had a total of 100 questions worth 200 marks.
