Petrol, and Diesel Prices on January 16: There is a decline in the prices of crude oil in the international market. At around 6 am on Tuesday morning, WTI crude is being sold at $ 72.66 per barrel. At the same time, Brent crude is trading at 78.15 per barrel. Oil marketing companies in the country have released the latest rates of petrol and diesel. In India, fuel prices are revised every morning at 6 am. Before June 2017, price revision was done every 15 days.
In Himachal Pradesh, petrol has become costlier by 26 paise and diesel by 25 paise. In Jammu and Kashmir, petrol has become costlier by 15 paise and diesel by 25 paise. Apart from this, petrol and diesel have become expensive in Goa, Kerala and Telangana. In Maharashtra, petrol has become cheaper by 50 paise and diesel by 46 paise. There is a fall of 43 paise in the price of petrol and diesel in Uttar Pradesh. There is a decline in the prices of petrol and diesel in West Bengal also.
At present, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 a litre while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 a litre. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. While petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. On the other hand, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per litre in Chennai.
