Among the posts offered by the SSC, the vacancy for the recruitment year 2020, 2021 and 2022 is 38, 153 and 81 respectively
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the online registration process for the SSC SSA/UDC Examination. Candidates willing to apply for Senior Secretariat Assistant/Upper Division Clerk Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2020, 2021 and 2022 can visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in and apply for the same. Candidates should note that the online registration window will remain open till November 7.
However, according to the schedule, the commission will hold the computer-based examination in February–March 2024. Moreover, it is important to note that the SSC recruitment drive is aimed at filling a total of 272 vacancies in the organisation. Among the offered posts, the vacancy for the recruitment year 2020 is 38, for 2021, it is 153 and for the recruitment year 2022, the number of vacancies is 81.
SSC SSA/UDC Exam: Important Dates

–– Last date and time for receipt of online applications: November 7 (23:00 hours)

SSC SSA/UDC Exam: Eligibility criteria
To apply for the above-mentioned posts, a candidate should not be more than 50 years of age on the crucial/cutoff date for the recruitment years 2020, 2021 and 2022 as prescribed by their respective Cadre Controlling Authority. However, there will be age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
SSC SSA/UDC Exam Pattern
The computer-based examination and written examination will be held in two parts: Part-I will consist of two papers, i.e., Paper-I will be a computer-based examination carrying 200 marks, and Paper-II will be a written examination of 100 marks. Questions in Paper-I will be of the objective type (multiple choice), whereas those in Paper-II will be of the descriptive type. Note that there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the computer-based examination in Paper I.
In addition to that, 100 marks are earmarked for evaluation of records of service (APARs). Marks obtained in Part II would be added to determine the rank of the candidate.
SSC SSA/UDC Exam: Selection Process
Moreover, the selection process comprises of written examination. The candidate must note that the examination will be held by the Staff Selection Commission in Delhi only.
Meanwhile, candidates should be aware that after the completion of the online application form, the printed copy of the same accompanied with required documents should be duly forwarded by their respective Service/Cadre Controlling Authority to the address by November 22.
