What is BHMS?
BHMS refers to the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery. The duration of the course is 5 and a half years, in which 4.5 years of study are done in college and 1 year of internship is required. In this course, students are taught about the diseases occurring in humans and their homoeopathic treatments. They also teach subjects like homoeopathy, pharmacy, human anatomy, and biochemistry.
BHMS course Education Qualification
In order to pursue the BHMS course, a candidate must have passed 12th grade from a recognised board with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Apart from that, they should have physics, chemistry, biology and English as their core subjects in 12th grade. Reserved category students are given a relaxation of 5 per cent.
In order to get admission to the BHMS course, candidates are required to appear for the NEET examination. Apart from that, some colleges also have a common entrance test for students and others conduct their own entrance examinations.
