Manasi Kirloskar Tata, a fifth-generation successor to the Kirloskar family, became the vice chairperson of the Kirloskar Joint Venture Private Limited in 2022. She is at the helm of the 130-year-old Kirloskar Group after the death of her father. She is the wife of Neville Tata, the son of Noel Tata, Ratan Tata’s half-brother. Even though she was born into a privileged, well-known family, Manasi prefers to stay away from the media. She married Neville Tata in 2019.
According to the reports, Manasi Tata was already a board member of Kirloskar Private Limited. After the death of her father, she was named the vice chairperson of the company. Kirloskar’s joint venture with Toyota gave India cars like Innova and Fortuner. The company handles the sales and manufacturing of these cars in the country.
Manasi Kirloskar Tata is currently the Chairperson of Toyota Engine India Limited (TIEI), Kirloskar Toyota Textile Private Limited (KTTM), Toyota Material Handling India Private Limited (TMHIN), and Deno Kirloskar Industries Private Limited (DNKI).
Manasi was born on August 7, 1990. She got her degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States. The 33-year-old took to new heights when she was made the Young Business Champion for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations in India.
Reports state that Manasi is fond of adventure and loves mountaineering, deep-sea diving, tennis and water sports. She also loves visiting places like art galleries, historical sites and museums. She works with an NGO as well, which is called Caring with Color. It works with various government schools in three districts of Karnataka.
Manasi’s father Vikram Kirloskar died on November 29, 2022, at the age of 64. The cause of death was reported to be a heart attack. He is known as one of the pioneers in India’s auto industry and is associated with bringing Toyota to India.
