Eid fashion: Lilacs, floral motifs and bold colours | The Express Tribune

Summers bring a trend of pastel colours dominating your wardrobe to beat the heat and still look fashionable. However, Eidul Adha this time saw celebrities going for bolder colours, embroidered clothes and a lot of floral work while spending time with their families and loved ones on this occasion.

While neutral colours and minimal cuts were fashionable once, it seems like colours are making a comeback now. From Ayesha Omar’s floral saree to Saboor Aly’s lilac dress, here are some of our favourite looks from this Eid.

Mahira Khan

The Legend of Maula Jatt star did not go slow this Eid either. Donning a gorgeous black and gold gharara set, she posted videos and pictures flaunting her spaghetti strap kurta featuring a broad lace on the borders. The dress was a perfect mix of trendy and traditional, and nobody could have worn it better than Mahira Khan. Keeping her hair open and makeup minimal, Khan let all the spotlight be on her dress.

Saboor Aly

The fashionista Saboor Aly is rarely ever off her fashion game. As always, the Parizaad actor won the internet with her all-lilac dress featuring silver floral motifs. She tied her hair in a sleek ponytail, wore purple blush and lipstick to compliment the look. To take the look to the next level, she paired it with matching bell bottoms and silver dangling earrings.

Ayesha Omar

The Kukri actor’s obsession with Yousuf Bashir Qureshi’s designs is completely understandable. Anything with red hearts and roses looks pretty, especially on a cotton saree. For Eid day 2, Omar opted for a chic cream coloured saree from YBQ’s latest collection and went overboard with accessories. She kept her hair in a bun and flaunted her heart shaped earrings, colourful nails, bangles complimenting the colourful mosaic blouse.

Aima Baig

Pink was a popular colour this year, and Aima Baig was one of the stars looking gorgeous in it. The Baazi crooner wore a long flowy dress by Fahad Hussyn and accessorised it with silver and pink statement earrings. The dress featured intricate floral embroidery and threadwork that elevated the look. Baig’s dress looked like a flower blooming in Spring this Eid.

Hania Aamir

Hania Aamir looked like a complete cutie this Eid in her blue dress by Maya Ali’s brand. Like Khan’s black gharara set, the Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha actor wore a short royal blue kurta with golden borders and a flowy gharara underneath it. A pink lip, some henna on hands, blue and golden bangles dangling flower earrings and a huge smile is how she completed her look and we’re fans!
