Celebrity chef and author Jock Zonfrillo who was one of the judges of MasterChef Australia, passed away at the age of 46.
His death was confirmed by his family in a statement that read, “our irreplaceable husband, father, brother, son and friend” died on Sunday in Melbourne.
“With completely shattered hearts and without knowing how we can possibly move through life without him, we are devastated to share that Jock passed away yesterday,” read the statement.
The cause of his sudden demise is not yet known.
MasterChef Australia’s new season was due to premiere on Monday, but it has been stalled for now.
