Known for its combination of speed, agility, and strategy, fencing involves a unique blend of athleticism and mental acuity. The sport is divided into three disciplines—foil, épée, and sabre—each with its own set of rules and techniques. Competitors wield lightweight swords and engage in bouts where precision and quick reflexes are key to scoring points and outmaneuvering opponents.

For women, fencing presents its own set of challenges. While the sport is open to all genders, female fencers often face a tougher journey. The demands of fencing include rigorous physical training, sharp focus, and the ability to think and react in milliseconds.
