Prince Harry says ‘I love my family’ in Good Morning America interview
Sarah, Duchess of York has shared an urgent health warning for people to get checked out after she and King Charles received cancer diagnoses within one month.
The Duke of York’s ex-wife was diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer in January, less than a year after facing breast cancer.
Meanwhile the King is receiving regular treatment for an undisclosed cancer, he publicly shared his diagnosis in February following treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.
The duchess shared on Instagram: “Days could make the difference between life and death, so please don’t skip or put off your #healthchecks and urge your loved ones to go to theirs.
“I’m determined to do whatever I can to help raise awareness by sharing my experience,” she said.
She almost missed a routine mammogram due to being busy, but her sister stopped her, she added.
She added: “After undergoing a mastectomy and reconstruction, I could only hope that I was in the clear, which is why a new diagnosis of skin cancer came as a shock,” she wrote.
King Charles has postponed all public-facing duties, but is continuing with behind-the-scenes work on his red boxes of state papers.
World Cancer Research Fund thank Duchess of York

Rachael Gormley, chief executive of World Cancer Research Fund, said: “We want to thank the Duchess of York for sharing her own experience this Cancer Prevention Action Week.
“It is such an important message to get across and will help raise more awareness.”
The fund’s Cancer Prevention Action Week runs from February 19-25, with its Make Your Move campaign encouraging people to find spare moments in their day to fit in short bursts of activity, such as stretches while queuing for coffee or dancing in the kitchen while cooking.
Ms Gormley said: “Physical activity can help reduce the risk of breast, colon and endometrial cancers as well as other health conditions”.

Sarah Ferguson makes urgent plea
The Duchess of York has marked cancer prevention week by asking her social media following to attend their healthcare check-ups.
Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with melanoma after she nearly skipped her routine mammogram after undergoing a masectomy and reconstruction.
She shared on Instagram: “I would like to urge anyone who is able to be diligent with their health check ups. I’m determined to do whatever I can to help raise awareness by sharing my experience.
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer, this year and had it not been for the diligence and care of my physicians, my situation could have been so much worse. It was a busy 2023 and I almost put off my routine mammogram, but my sister Jane convinced me to go.
“After undergoing a mastectomy and reconstruction, I could only hope that I was in the clear, which is why a new diagnosis of skin cancer came as a shock. I’m now in the best hands and feeling positive with the support of my family. Days could make the difference between life and death, so please don’t skip or put off your #healthchecks and urge your loved ones to go to theirs.”

When is Prince Harry next expected to return to the UK?
Buckingham Palace has not given details about Charles’s cancer and Harry declined to divulge any information when asked about his “outlook” on the King’s health in an interview on Friday.
But he did say that he would be visiting his father in the future: “I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”
Harry, 39, jetted across from the US to spend time with his father after his cancer diagnosis but only spent around 45 minutes together during a meeting at Clarence House.
While he spent a further evening in London, he did not see his brother Prince William, with their relationship remaining strained since Harry’s departure as a working royal.

What events will the Prince of Wales attend?
William will meet aid workers helping to provide humanitarian support in the region, hearing about the experiences of those on the ground, and separately join a synagogue discussion with young people from different communities who are advocates against hatred and antisemitism.
In 2018 William undertook, on behalf of the Government, the first official trip by a member of the monarchy to Israel and the Occupied West Bank.
During his visit he sat down for separate talks with Mr Netanyahu and the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas.

‘Zero per cent chance’ Harry will return to royal fold
Buckingham Palace aides have reportedly insisted that there is “zero per cent chance” that Prince Harry will walk in to help out the new slimmed down monarchy as King Charles undergoes cancer treatment.
Palace sources have told The Sunday Telegraph that there is “no way back” for Harry, who said in a US interview this week that he thought the King’s illness was a chance to unify his family.
It’s thought that the terms of the Sandringham Summit, which detailed Harry and Meghan’s exit from the working royal family, still stand which rules out a “half in, half out” approach to the monarchy.
Reports on Saturday suggested the Duke of Sussex had told pals he would consider a temporary return to the firm.
