This is the world’s smallest sandwich, inspired by “Kawaii” Japanese art – Times of India

When it comes to creativity around food, there are no boundaries. It has been proven once again by the popular sandwich chain Subway, which recently introduced a new sandwich by the name of a Japanese-inspired Teriyaki Steak.
Subway UK has launched the sandwich, and to commemorate the occasion, they commissioned a miniature artist to create the world’s smallest sandwich. Take a look at the video.

As per the video, they asked miniature artist Nadia Michaux to create the world’s smallest Sub of less than an inch using the art called “Kawaii” which is the Japanese culture of cuteness.

In the video, she revealed that Subway challenged her to create the smallest version of their newly-launched Teriyaki Steak sub.

Explaining the art, she mentioned in the video that she first made the bread from a small piece of clay. Next, she crafted the other ingredients, such as peppers, onions, cheese, and sauces.

“I think this was my biggest challenge yet – I didn’t initially realise just how challenging that would be. But it allowed me to fuse my love of Japanese culture and my passion for Kawaii miniatures together, which was brilliant,” added Michaux in the video.

Isn’t it creatively satisfying? What do you think of this art? Share your feedback in the comments section.
