India captain Rohit Sharma kept his calm at Mumbai airport after paparazzi attempted to take pictures of his daughter, Samaira, as he returned from a family vacation in the Maldives.
A video circulating on social media shows Sharma shielding his daughter while making his way to the car. As photographers crowded around, he quickly pulled Samaira behind him.
Sharma then pushed some individuals away before ensuring his family safely entered the vehicle. Despite his visible frustration, the Indian captain kept his cool. The 37-year-old even posed for pictures with the paparazzi.
Sharma, who recently led India to their third ICC Champions Trophy title with a victory over New Zealand in Dubai, returned to India ahead of IPL 2025.
He will soon rejoin Mumbai Indians, who begin their campaign against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.
While Sharma has dismissed rumours of ODI retirement, his IPL 2025 performance is expected to influence his Test future and selection for India’s tour of England in June.
