Sohail Tanvir announces retirement from international cricket – SUCH TV



Sohail Tanvir, a left-arm bowler who became known for having an unconventional bowling motion, announced his retirement from international cricket on Monday.

Sohail, who represented Pakistan in two Tests, 62 ODIs, and 57 T20Is, announced his retirement from international cricket on Twitter.

“Announcement: I am retiring from all formats of international cricket and will continue to play domestic and franchise cricket going forward. Thank you to PCB for giving me the opportunity to play for my country,” he wrote.

He amassed 54 wickets in T20Is and continued to be a popular choice for franchise cricket players all over the world. In his career thus far, he has taken 389 T20 wickets. The cricketer also competed for Pakistan in the 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad.

In the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, Sohail had the most wickets for the Rajasthan Royals.

The left-arm bowler helped Rajasthan win their first IPL championship with 22 wickets in 11 games.

Sohail played for the Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) from 2016 to 2022. In the PSL, he most recently represented Gladiators. In 61 games, he has taken 55 wickets.
