T20 series against NZ: Two major changes expected in Pakistan’s playing XI – SUCH TV

The announcement of Pakistan’s T20 squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand is scheduled for tomorrow at 3pm, with Chief Selector Wahab Riaz set to disclose the national team lineup.

Two major changes are expected in the squad, with Ehsanullah and Naseem Shah ruled out due to injuries.

In the wake of Imad Wasim’s retirement, a replacement all-rounder is poised to join the national team. However, the inclusion of Mohammad Nawaz seems unlikely, given his lacklustre performance in the recent World Cup.

Instead, there is speculation about the potential inclusion of a standout performer from the National T20 Cup, with Sahibzada Farhan or Kamran Ghulam being strong contenders.

Former captains Shoaib Malik and Azam Khan face slim chances of making it to the squad, while Asif Afridi’s inclusion is under consideration. The selection committee is contemplating the addition of Test captain Shan Masood to the T20 squad, and a unanimous decision will be reached in this regard.

Stay tuned for the official announcement tomorrow at 3 pm to get the final lineup of Pakistan’s T20 squad for the series against New Zealand.
