WATCH: Pakistan team holds first training session in India for World Cup


The Pakistani cricket team held their first training session in India on Thursday morning at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. This was their first training session since arriving in India for the 2023 ICC World Cup.

The training session witnessed active participation from the majority of the squad, including key players such as the captain, Babar Azam, alongside Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Mohammad Haris, and Zaman Khan.

During the session, the players commenced with warm-up routines and fielding drills within the stadium premises, following which they moved on to the practice nets for batting and bowling sessions.

As they prepare for the upcoming tournament, Pakistan is set to face New Zealand in a warm-up match scheduled for Friday in Hyderabad.

Subsequently, they will have their second warm-up encounter against Australia on October 3, leading up to the commencement of their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on October 6, all taking place at the same venue in Hyderabad.
