Diving into the joy of classic fruit salads and chaat is an age-old tradition in India. The combination of assorted chopped fruits sprinkled with chaat masala creates a refreshing and healthy treat. Now, brace your taste buds for a recent internet sensation – the ‘Fruit Pizza.’ This unconventional creation takes the concept of pizza to a whole new level by transforming it into a vibrant fruit salad and the internet is buzzing over this juicy discovery.

In a video shared by a food vlogger on Instagram, a Surat vendor makes this unique pizza using a watermelon as the base. The vendor then arranges triangular watermelon slices and tops them with grapes, pineapple, kiwi, dragon fruit, and a mix of other fruits. The ‘pizza’ is then sprinkled with glucose powder, chaat masala, and a variety of dry fruits – cashews, nuts, almonds, raisins – followed by a generous drizzle of honey and Amul cream. Priced at Rs 280, this unique creation offers a delightful twist to traditional pizza.

However, opinions are mixed in the comments, with some describing it as a fancy fruit salad. 

One user wrote, “Yeh toh fruit salad hai pizza kaisa hua? [This is fruit salad, why are you calling it pizza?]”

Someone else had the same question, “Why are you calling fruit chaat pizza?”

Another sarcastically stated, “Ye pizza hai, to mai Shraddha Kapoor hun [If This is Pizza, then I am Shraddha Kapoor].”

Meanwhile, one user asked, “Is it good? Tell me honestly?”

While another wrote, “Stop using salt, glucose syrup and that much cream. Fruits are naturally rich in electrolytes and fructose so no need for salt and glucose syrup.”
