Iran on Saturday accused Israel of carrying out a strike on the Syrian capital Damascus, which it said killed Iranian military advisers and “a number of Syrian forces.” The Israeli military declined to comment. The State Department confirmed the death of a U.S. civilian in the occupied West Bank on Friday, hours after National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said he was “seriously concerned” about reports of the death of a Palestinian American teenager there.
