The Indian Army’s Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has extended the online registration process for the Medical Officer Recruitment 2023. As per the latest updates, the last date to apply for the AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2023 is tomorrow, November 12. Earlier, the deadline for the submission of the application forms was November 5, 2023. Those who missed the previous deadline can submit their application forms on the official website at afmc.nic.in. Through this recruitment drive, AFMS will fill up a total of 650 vacancies for the post of medical officer.
Out of the 650 positions, 65 are reserved for eligible female candidates, while the remaining 585 are reserved for qualified male candidates. As per the recruitment notice, candidates who are selected would earn around Rs 85,000 per month.
How To Register?
Step 1: Go to the official website of AFMS — afmc.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘apply online’.
Step 3: Register yourself on the portal by entering all your details.
Step 4: You will receive a registration ID and password on your email ID or phone number.
Step 5: Log in with the new credentials, then fill out the application form.
Step 6: Upload all the mandatory documents (in the prescribed format and size).
Step 7: To complete the process, pay the application fee.
Step 8: Remember to cross-check all the details before submitting the form.
Application Fee
Candidates applying for the AFMC Medical Officer Recruitment 2023 need to pay an application fee of Rs 200. The fee needs to be paid via online payment methods such as net banking, debit cards, or credit cards. It is to be noted that no other mode of payment will be accepted by the AFMC.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with an MBBS or PG Diploma, and have a maximum age of 30 years, are eligible. The maximum age for candidates with a PG Degree is 35 years. “Applicants must possess medical qualifications included in the National Medical Council Act, 2019. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/NMC/MCI. Post graduate degree holders recognized by the State Medical Council/NBE/NMC can also apply,” reads the official notice.
Selection Process
The AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2023 is a multi-stage procedure that involves a thorough review of applications, Interview Round, Document Verification and a Medical Examination. The tentative date for the interview is November 21, 2023.
