The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a recruitment notification for 18 advisor and junior advisor positions on a two-year contract through its official website. The application window is open on nhai.gov.in, and candidates can apply until January 4, 2024. NHAI Advisor Vacancies for recruitment include 1 position for Advisor and 17 positions for Junior Advisor, summing up to a total of 18 vacancies.

Interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for Advisor post:

1. Hold a degree from a recognised University/Institute in a Science group subject. (Note: Essential educational qualification is not mandatory for officers retired from the forest, agriculture, horticulture, or social forestry departments with relevant experience).

2. Retired officers from Central/State Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, at a level equivalent to Joint Secretary and above.

3. Possess 20 years of experience in the fields of forestry, agriculture, horticulture, or the environment.

For Junior Advisor position, candidates need to fulfil the following educational qualifications and criteria:

1. Possess a degree from a recognised University/Institute in a Science group subject. (Note: Essential educational qualification is not mandatory for officers retired from the forest, agriculture, horticulture, or social forestry departments with relevant experience).

2. Retired officers from Central/State Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, not below the level of Conservator of Forests or Deputy Secretary/Director.

3. Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the fields of forestry, agriculture, horticulture, or the environment.

4. Demonstrate reasonable experience in Forest (including Wildlife) and Environment (including CRZ) Clearances, along with expertise in issues related to Environment Impact Assessment (EIA), Environment Management Plans (EMP), etc.

The age limit for candidates applying to NHAI Advisor positions is set at 65 years, as of the date of receipt of the online application.

Retired officers receiving pensions from public funds will receive Rs 90,000 (all-inclusive) along with transport allowance.

Retired officers without pensions from public funds will receive Rs 1,25,000 (all-inclusive) along with transport allowance.
