The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has taken a crucial step in the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2023 process by releasing the option-cum-preference forms for eligible candidates. This proactive measure comes ahead of the final result announcement for the CGL 2023. The specified window for submitting Option-cum-Preference forms is scheduled to be open from November 18 to November 21.

For candidates who successfully advanced through Tier II of the examination, this stage holds significant importance as they can assert their preferences for specific posts and departments related to CGLE-2023. The submission process can be carried out using their login credentials on the official SSC website, ssc.nic.in.

The Tier-I results were released on September 19, and the Tier-II phase was held from October 26 to October 27.

According to the official notification, “Before the declaration of the final result, Option-cum-Preference(s) for post(s)/ department(s) are required to be submitted by those candidates who have appeared in Tier-II examination. Accordingly, all candidates, who have appeared in Tier-II, are advised to submit their Option-cum-Preference for post(s)/ department(s) for CGLE-2023 through their respective ‘CANDIDATE LOGIN’ on the website of SSC (Headquarters) i.e., https://ssc.nic.in, wherein a tab for submission of Option-cum-Preference(s) for post(s)/ department(s) will be activated on 18.11.2023 which will remain active during the period from 18.11.2023 to 21.11.2023 for the candidates who have appeared in Tier-II examination.”

Importantly, candidates need to be aware that the Option-cum-Preference can only be revised within the specified period. The last submission made by the candidate during this timeframe will be considered final. Failure to adhere to the submission deadline means candidates will forfeit any further opportunity for preference submission. Consequently, these candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list or the ultimate selection process.

Candidates are requested to check the official website regularly for more details and further updates on the SSC CGL 2023 examination.
