CANNES, France — If the first few days of this year’s Cannes Film Festival were all about “Megalopolis” mania, then the latter half has been dominated by the rapidly spreading word of mouth about three female-fronted movies, featuring the likes of Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña, Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley, and a relative unknown, Mikey Madison (perhaps best known for being a secondary antagonist in the fifth “Scream” film).
